My captain doesn't like fat people

Yeah, that's right. If you're untit, my captain does not like you. hahaha.. sucks huh?

Well, it was an interesting brief to say the least, but we needed to hear it. Watching Dugan chug a 40 was funny as well.

Life's going quite nicely.

Did you like the photos?

Let's pray for those affected by the the hurricane.

Good Gouge (knowledge)

Every year, our Naval Science teachers tell us that at the Navy teaching school, instructors are taught to erase up and down as opposed to side-to-side. Why? Otherwise you shake your ass in front of your students.

I've always been a side-to-side eraser.

Oh yeah... Happy Birthday Mollywood!

Much love,
Michael

You know I just realized... I haven't posted any pictures here in ages. Allow me to take some time in my next post to rectify this situation.

I'm such a spaz today!

hello friends,

I am currently having a wonderful day, really. Class and such. Here's the such:

Really embarrassing moment or two already. I was walking to O'Shag for my first class. I happened to be thinking about the Lindy Hop, while listening to my trusty iRiver mp3 player. (Lindy is kinda like West Coast swing, but cooler in my opinion. In my past years here, I've tried to learn it but always miserably failed. Well, this summer I kinda taught myself the steps.) Anyways, I was practicing these steps to myself right by the entrance. I did it a couple times. If you don't know the dance, it involves a 360 degree turn, so I was in the middle of a move, trying to figure out if I was doing it right when I turn around to see this girl coming in. We make some awkward eye contact and both burst out laughing. I think she was a freshman.

Just had lunch at SDH. They had Philly Cheese steaks today, which is one of their best items. It was a quick enjoyable lunch. I walked out thinking that something really smelled like cheese, but I ignored this thought and continued on my merry way. I headed back to Morrissey and had a couple short, separate conversations with Bridget and one with Mark. I went back to my room, threw my stuff on my futon and went over to the sink to brush my teeth. I looked up in the mirror to see that I had melted cheese drying on the tip of my nose. Ohhh, the cheese steak.

I'm glad I love laughing at myself. I get so many opportunities.

Take it easy everyone,
Q

OK, it's been over a month

OK everyone,

I apologize, it's been over a month. But it's been a busy one. Let's recap.

Met a nice girl named Jozen, though she goes by Bayzee, a week and a half before heading back to school. We hit it off really well. We're keeping in touch.

Took a road trip to ND with my dad. Went to: Austin (to see my brother), Memphis (to see Elvis' Graceland), Notre Dame (to drop off my stuff), Chicago (to stay at the Four Seasons and walk down Michigan Ave), then back to ND. Move in went great. I'm an RA in Morrissey now so I have 2 rooms to myself. One is a living room, decorated with posters & London stuff and the other is my bedroom with my desk.

My dad has met lots of interesting people through work. He likes Celine Dion's bus, which is apparently way better than the G-Unit busses. She's the nicest celebrity he's met, with Steven Tyler as a close second. Tiger Woods' mom is not very pleasant, but 50 Cent is a nice, chill guy. I could go on and I bet he could too.

I went back early for RA training. Common sense stuff. Got to "go out" in town.

Freshman got here. Great group of guys. I'm really excited for them and for this year.

1st day of class today, already way behind on work. I'm taking all Program of Liberal Studies classes (3 of them) and two Navy classes. The schedule isn't too bad. Big mass at the JACC today, getting dressed up.

Apprently my football group has 300+ people in it. It's going to be sweet. Plus, I figured out a way to get my buddy Justin tickets. Now to work on some for Becky, his girfriend.

Ok, short and sweet, ya? I know I'll be doing way better about updating now that things have gotten under control.

Take it easy,
Mike
